| Description: |
WMND is a WindowMaker dock application that shows a graph of the network traffic of the past few minutes, current activity and overall send and receive rates. Additionally it can launch any program in response to mouse clicks.
Source code of version 0.2.0 has been almost totally re-written for optimization. Now WMND is about 100 times faster than old and comsumes less cpu power than wmmon!. Version 0.3.0 introduced portability: now WMND runs on Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris and IRIX!. Version 0.4.0 introduced more display modes! This version also provides new options into the resource file ~/.wmndrc and a new connection timer. WMND 0.4.5 now supports remote IF-MIB snmp monitoring a-la MRTG.

Add a new Version of this Dockapp
You may add a new (or even old) version of this dockapp by using
the link above. This way we can be sure that this application will
be available even if the project's homepage goes down (did that ever
happen to you? :)).

Excellent replacement for wmnet
I've been using wmnet for a while, but discovered that wmnd supports multiple interfaces, so I gave it a try. It's *excellent*. Nice perty multiple graph modes, too. Very nice job guys.
openbsd
I hope this would include OpenBSD support.
openbsd
If somebody is willing to give an account to an openbsd box to the author... ;)
display bug?
- platform WBEL 3 respin 1 with all updates
- compiled wmnd from source
- when running, wmnd does not display outoging traffic, only incoming
any thoughts?
thanks in advance!
display bug? (more info)
I ran ifconfig eth0 tonight for reasons unrelated to this issue of TX not showing up, and discovered that ifconfig eth0 shows NO TX packet count but a high error count. I suspect this is the real reason why wmnd is not showing me any TX information.
Any idea as to why my interface is not reporting any TX packet count?
Thanks in advance!
display bug? (possible solution)
After further digging, it turns out that it is a bug with the tulip driver used for my NIC. I am going to remove my NIC and install a different one that uses NOT the tulip driver and see what happens.
