TkWeather displays a nice square iconic button showing the current weather condition on either your Windows or Linux/Unix desktop. TkWeather plays nice as a Afterstep/Windowmaker docapp. Clicking the button shows the currentbasic weather condition values, such as temperature, humidity, and wind. Clicking again shows additional information, namely the barometric pressure, UV, visiblility, and "heat index". It is written entirely in Perl/Tk and requires Perl and Tk
to be installed if running Linux/Unix. No other software is required for
using the Windows self-installing binary.
"site", is currently 0: "weather" (weather.com), 1: "wunderground"(www.wunderground.com), 2: "noaa" (www.noaa.gov), or 4 (weatherbug). If it fails on the selected one, it tries the next one. This program fetches the current conditions every 15 minutes (900 seconds) from www.weather.com, www.wunderground.com, www.noaa.gov, or weatherbug based on your configuration choce.
